Ingrid Wilson (aka IIMWII), is a Sydney based artist currently completing her Masters in Fine Art at UNSW/COFA. With a focus on abstract fluid painting, she is inspired by the relationship between science in art. Ingrid currently resides in her Bondi home, working part time while balancing her studies.
A self-confessed enthusiast to change, Ingrid often finds herself moving houses quite regularly. As she states, “I think my addiction [to change] is really interesting in terms of watching my practice evolve.” Her practice has been evolving for over twelve years. She has found that throughout her practice, there has always been a strong connection to abstracting a form that is beyond recognition, whether it is through digital installations, sculpture, oils or acrylics, however admits that she places no limitations on what she uses to create.
Ingrid intends to further pursue immersive installation art that focuses on science and technology – echoing the versatility and limitless nature of her artwork.
